Bainbridge Island Arts and Humanities Council

City programs that BIAHC administers include:

  • The 2% for Public Art Fund
  • The Arts and Humanities Operations Support Fund
  • The Arts and Humanities Project Support Fund, which provides funding for individual and group special projects and programming.

Past Arts and Humanities Project Support Fund recipients include:

  • Bainbridge Island Special Needs Foundation
  • Bainbridge Youth Services
  • Island Theatre
  • Olympic Performance Group

BIAHC also produces its own programming in response to community interests and needs, including:

  • The award-winning Bainbridge Island Arts Education Community Consortium, serving over 3,500 students each year
  • Celluloid Bainbridge Film Festival
  • Poetry Corners
  • The Island Treasure Awards
  • Artists Roundtable discussions
  • The quarterly publication Current

BIAHC regularly collaborates with other local organizations to offer workshops, trainings, and special events.
