GARDEN TOUR SHUTTLE:

The weekend of the Garden Tour, on Saturday, July 15th and on Sunday, July 16th, the first shuttle will meet the 8:45 am ferry from Seattle at the Bainbridge Island ferry dock and will take Bainbridge in Bloom visitors directly to the Festival Hub at the Bainbridge Island High School.

As each subsequent ferry from Seattle arrives, a shuttle will be waiting to deliver visitors to the Garden Tour's Festival Hub.

From the Festival Hub, visitors may explore the food courts, local artists booths, and attend garden lectures. Also at the Hub, visitors will catch cushy buses that will deliver them to each of the gardens.

When you are ready to return to Seattle, buses at the Festival Hub will bring you back to the Bainbridge ferry dock.

No need to drive on the ferry if you are coming from Seattle. The entire Garden Tour can be enjoyed without your car, without struggling with rural Bainbridge road maps, without getting lost on the backroads.

THE FABULOUS KITSAP TRANSIT BUSES:

All tickets include garden-to-garden transportation on large air-conditioned buses with cushy upholstered seats, over-head storage, and wheel-chair elevator access.

A huge hit on the 2005 Bainbridge in Bloom tour, the Bainbridge Historical Society will be back, narrating each bus trip, garden to garden. Their stories, packed with island lore and historical notations, will keep you alert and amused as you travel stress-free to each garden.

Streamlined routing, a central festival site, and garden amenities add to the "creature comforts" and leisurely pace of 2006 Bainbridge in Bloom.

All about last year's successful tour: MORE>>

Kitsap Transit provides free transportation to all ticket holders throughout the event, including to and from the ferry terminal.

CREATURE COMFORTS:

Each stop on the garden tour offers refreshments from unique food vendors and portable restroom facilities. Relax in the gardens during presentations on sustainable gardening topics, or while enjoying talented performances by island musicians.

In addition to the five gardens, Bainbridge High School will serve as Garden Tour’s only parking and transportation hub. It will also be location for the festival site, the art fair, the lecture series, book and plant sales, and a generous offering of brunch and lunch choices. Plan to visit the festival site before starting the garden tour . . . and feel free to return in the afternoon.

All shuttle buses returning to the ferry terminal travel through downtown Winslow, where local retail outlets offer coupon discounts to Bainbridge in Bloom ticket holders. From one-of-a-kind shops and galleries, to an unprecedented selection of eating establishments, Winslow is the perfect stop after the tour.
