BOOK SALE:
Fortner Books offered a large selection of
specialty gardening books at the July 2005 Bainbridge in
Bloom Garden Tour.
A Message from Nancy & Bob Fortner:
Fortner Books is a used, new, out-of-print and rare
bookshop located on a secluded ten acres, five minutes from
downtown Bainbridge Island. In business since 1992, we were based
downtown until 1999, when we moved our shop to a building
next to our home. We love browsers, and are open by appointment
(city codes won't allow us to post regular business hours...).
We stock books in most categories, but focus heavily
on our specialty areas. Gardening is a passion for us, and
gardening books comprise our largest subject area; we stock
more than 1,500 new, used and out-of-print titles in gardening
alone.
We either stock or would be pleased help you find the perfect
gardening book for your needs, whether it is a treatise
on conifers, one that provides every detail needed for constructing
a water garden, or the long out of print Bold and Romantic
Gardens.
We will be bringing a selection of current
new and out-of-print gardening titles for you to purchase
or drool over during Bainbridge in Bloom. Should you be
tempted to visit before or after the tour, just give us
