Dog Friends in the Garden
Cheryl Smith discussed her new book, Dog Friendly Gardens: Garden Friendly Dogs, and described designs for gardens where you and your canine friends co-exist happily. Then her very well-behaved dogs joined her for a demonstration of training tips.

A Garden in the Middle of the World
Terri Stanley & Terry Moyemont of Mesogeo Nursery
talked about Mediterranean and tropical plants that
will grow successfully in Pacific Northwest gardens.
During their recent travels in Greece and North Africa,
they visited more than 50 garden owners and nurseries
to collect information for a forthcoming book.

Some Like It Dry; Some Like It Wet
Rock gardens, rockeries, ponds and waterfalls were the topic
of a presentation by Ben Cooper, manager of Northwest
Rock, and Micheal Moshier, landscape designer
and botanical illustrator. Ben shared designs for rockeries,
ponds and waterfalls, and Micheal, a contributor to the
new book, Rock Garden Design and Construction, discussed
plants, soils and designs for rock gardens.
