Garden Tour 2002 Volunteers

Volunteer and receive a complimentary ticket!

Want to spend a few hours in one of the most beautiful gardens in the Northwest and receive a free ticket (worth $25.00) for your volunteer efforts?

We need garden docents in attendance at all the gardens to aid in the flow and enjoyment of Bainbridge in Bloom Garden Tour. The shifts are from 10:00am until 1:30pm or 1:30pm until 5:00pm on both garden days, July 13 and 14, 2002.

We also need bus docents for those visitors using the free bus service to acquaint and prepare the riders for the next garden by reading from a prepared script (extemporaneous comments welcome!). Your responsibilities are to keep the gardens and visitors safe, stamp tickets, and offer general assistance if needed.

No experience necessary, as plant identification experts will be on hand for specific questions. All that is needed is an inviting nature to extent to the thousands of visitors who will come to enjoy the gardens. Attire is comfortable, weather appropriate, "garden party"--garden hat optional!

If you have a friend you would like to share a shift with, we will do our best to assign you together.
